how to be or not to be 

I try to live in a world of love 

where even enemies are lovely 


how things tend to go down 

devil’s in the details 

I give him what he wants 

rest I hold onto with my nails 


last witness to what I’ve seen 

future lies ahead 

everything I’ve known truthfully 

is dubious in the end 


last witness it had to be me 

left without a friend 

giving it all back willingly 

to be loved in the end
