Please Rise

Please Rise

between watchful

eyes of a nation

during prototype

demonstrations

before

combination

exhumation

convocations

opportunity

presents itself

without much

of a precedent

sliver of an

accident

could bring down

all the plans

please rise while skies are raining fear

please rise ask what you’re doing here

inside before they turn gears

still time I’ve unplugged the monitors

during the confusion

inside the darkness

with fingers of fate

stuck inside holy pockets

time telescopes

physics, suspended

adrenaline pumps

minds connected

while they erect the palace

before they’re established

as stars type out

their last desperate message
